Video from police body cameras showed the teamwork that led to the rescue of a 3-year-old who was trapped in a burning West Allis home.
The first officer to arrive at the home Sunday morning was told a child was trapped inside and used their baton to break the window where
When a second officer arrived, they tried to enter the window to get the boy, who they were able to spot through the smoke but were unable to reach him, according to Fox6Now.com.
When firefighters arrived, one member cleared out the window, planted a Halligan into the ground as a step and entered the home.
Minutes later, they handed off the child to police who ran the boy to an ambulance crew. He was listed in stable condition.
Police say the incident last six minutes.
